truth be told I am not a good writer. anna makes fun of me sometimes because i sit and stare at the screen for minutes that turn to 10′s of minutes and then hours, just thinking about what i want to say. anna and I are so very lucky. we live this crazy life where we get to meet some of the coolest people in the world and document the love the have so they themselves can remember the times which they felt so well.. in love. when we met molly and mike it was as typical as they come. anna and i are starbucks freaks so we try and have as many of our meetups there so that we can stay caffinated. walking away from the meeting i litteraly bent over to anna and said… “man.. i really hope they pick us”. it was that kind of meeting. this feeling.. those same butterflies that i get everytime you are in that moment when you can just feel the connection someone has and something clicks inside you and you know you want to document it. naturally when they told us they had selected us i had a mini party and anna and i danced around with the dogs like we always do (this part may or may not be true, you guess). we would get to know molly and mike slowly over the next couple of months through the exchange of emails and then dinners and drinks. over one of those nights we discussed the engagement shoot and found that mike was a satellite worker and actually worked from home for a company in NYC… the short story is that big NYC engagement baby was born that night.

what i can say about molly and mike is what they have is true love. one amazing thing that i didnt expect when we started this business was that we would learn so much from our couples about love and relationships and life in general. the whole experience of getting to know these couples, shooting engagements, weddings…then watching families erupt… its crazy..crazy stuff. you can’t NOT (i know double negative) learn from these folks. they move me..our clients, they make me love anna more than life and i am so appreciative of that. i can honestly say we are ecstatic to know them and really really hope they stay in touch when this epic wedding goes down… because they are amazing people.

We started this with previous clients… hotel robe shoots.. and I think it stays going forward. It has to be shot with a special camera because regular ones can’t handle the fun…

Our good friends Nick and Jillian had been in Austria on summer break and when we found out we were going to be in Santorini it made sense (right?!) for them to join up with us. Of course a mini-session was in store It was CRAZY windy the last day we were there which made it interesting. Nick and Jillian are recently engaged and we are really excited to shoot their wedding in December.

This will go down as probably one of the most rewarding experiences for a shoot EVER. These two were troopers. Upon arriving in San Jose Anna and I had been searching for spots online when I decided I would just look via google map satellite and find somewhere I liked. I discovered a place that didnt look that hard to find… I mean.. there were roads to it at least. Little did I know that it would take us on one of the most sketchy roads I have ever been on. Upon arriving it was raining like crazy, mist everywhere and just not looking so good. We made the best of it and lo and behold the sun came out and we were rewarded for our efforts.

We are extremely excited to shoot the wedding of these two in Sonoma in July. It is sad as well as it marks the end of an era as it is the last wedding of a group of kids we love dearly. We hope you love them as much as we do.

Tuan and Mary were instant faves. They showed up with Frank and Beans their dachshunds and we knew we were in for a good time. Tuan and Mary are photo geeks as well and run Memory Box Photobooth in San Diego. After the shoot they really won our hearts by showing us Extraordinary Desserts and Phil’s BBQ. In that order
